Want to visit an underwater kingdom, observe every inhabitant of the aquatic world, and immerse yourself in an atmosphere of grandeur and mystery? Then this is the place for you!
The Lost Chambers Aquarium is located in The Avenues shopping mall, near the Atlantis hotel.
We had the honour of visiting this place thanks to our ticket to Aquaventure water park. Our tour operator representative gave us tickets to the water park and the aquarium.
The ticket price is £85. It is worth noting that before visiting, we reviewed the reviews of many bloggers, and almost all of them did not recommend visiting this place, saying that there was nothing to see here – just ordinary aquariums. But believe me, this is not the case.
We really wanted to take a photo near the aquarium in the lobby of the Atlantis hotel, but we didn’t dare go without knowing where it was. What’s more, the guide from our previous tours told us that no strangers were allowed in there anymore. This news dampened our spirits a little, as we really wanted to see that ‘window’ into the underwater world. At that time, we didn’t know that we would see this ‘window’ after all, just in a different place.
The Avenues shopping mall, located near the Atlantis hotel, houses various world-famous boutiques, as well as the Aquaventure water park and The Lost Chambers aquarium.
After a whole day at the water park, we decided to visit the aquarium.Entrance to The Lost Chambers Aquarium.
At the entrance, we handed over our wristband tickets from the water park.
The magical underwater world began with a school of fish swimming in a column. We then entered a dark corridor with many different aquariums on either side. We saw different kinds of fish, jellyfish, crabs, etc. in small aquariums.
The screenshots are from my video.
This dark corridor led us to the first hall with huge aquariums. When we saw them, we were as happy as children.
The windows in the aquarium are wide but not high. We stood and watched all the beauty of the underwater world. At one point, we realised that there was another hall. When we went in, we gasped! The whole hall has tall windows, just like the ones we wanted to see in the lobby of the Atlantis hotel!
In the middle of the hall there are small sofas where guests can admire the grandeur of the underwater world, enjoy themselves and relax. It is unforgettable.
The aquarium has many species of fish: sharks, stingrays, many schools of different species, and beautiful design.
Watching the underwater kingdom, you feel like a small part of it. It’s an indescribable feeling. Light, relaxing music plays in each hall, further emphasising the mystery and magic of the underwater world.
At the exit, there is a souvenir shop with aquarium-themed items. If you are lucky enough to visit this shopping centre or have come to the water park but are unable to go to the aquarium, you can see part of this magical world through a small window that opens onto the shopping centre corridor.
If I compare the aquarium in the Dubai Mall and this aquarium, I liked The Lost Chambers much more. Firstly, The Lost Chambers has a different atmosphere – there aren’t as many people, everything is quiet and peaceful, and you can relax and unwind. Secondly, there are more fish per square metre in this aquarium, and you can see everything right up close to the window, whereas in the Dubai Mall there is a protective barrier. Thirdly, there is a window here just like the one in the Atlantis lobby, and this is where they take those beautiful photos.
The Lost Chambers is definitely worth a visit. It is a magical, fairy-tale place with a wonderful atmosphere. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the underwater world, see all its grandeur, and relax your mind and body. Come and experience these unforgettable sensations for yourself.
